Hi everyone, my name is Amanda Larsson-Dally and I am your 2009 Miss Teen Santa Clarita Valley! I am a senior at Canyon High School and am involved with the Canyon High CTV, Concert Choir, and Cheer Squad. In my spare time I enjoy singing, acting, musical theatre, volunteering and giving back to my community, and spending time with friends and family! In the fall I plan on attending a four-year California State University!
Wow! This year has gone by so fast, it seems like it was just yesterday that I was crowned! I was so surprised and excited when my name was called and could not wait to serve my wonderful community! Thank you to Ms. Mardi for all of the hard work and countless opportunities that she has provided me. She is such a special woman that has always made me feel so special; she is much like a fairy godmother to many of us girls. The Miss SCV Scholarship program has given me so many opportunities, opened many doors for me, helped me grow as a person, and given me memories that I will always treasure. This past year I have attended events such as Relay for Life, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Grand Openings, Chamber Mixers, Carousel Ranch, Chili Cook Off, Michael Hoefflin Foundation, Rescues on the Runway, and Jazz festivals just to name a few of the fun places I have been privileged to volunteer at. It is such an incredible feeling help others out in the Santa Clarita Valley and make a difference. The Miss Santa Clarita Scholarship Program is a wonderful Program designed for girls and women of all ages. Through this Program girls learn networking skills, leadership skills, how to carry confidence & poise, and who could forget learn how to strut your stuff and model like a pro! I can guarantee that after being involved with this program you will have learned and walked away with so much . I am so grateful and fortunate to have been the lucky girl to represent Santa Clarita as Miss Teen SCV for 2009. Secondly, I want to thank all of the other queens and princesses who have made this year so much fun! You guys are the best! J Lastly, I would like to thank my sponsors Dr. Thai at Bouquet Smile Dental, Dr. Robert L. Fisher at all Family Chiropractic Center, Betty Stroud family friend, and my great-grandfather Jay Rogers, without your sponsorship and generosity I would not have this title. I would also like to thank my loving family for always supporting me in all that I do.
