In her own words:
Deciding to run for Mrs. SCV was an unexpected decision not only for me, but for my family and friends. Winning was even more unexpected, however, it has been one of the greatest experiences. I have met so many great people and have attended many noteworthy events - business grand openings, LASO Chili cook off, Boys & Girls Club fundraiser, Black Business Committee mixer, and Disney Snow Days just to name a few.
The Miss SCV Program gives girls and women the opportunity to represent their communities by giving back through volunteer efforts and by being role models to other girls. Girls have learned self confidence, public speaking, and have created lasting friendships through this experience.
I will definitely miss all of my pageant sisters, but I will take with me the experiences during my reign. It has been a great opportunity being able to represent the wonderful city of Santa Clarita as their Queen!
Many thanks go to Ms. Mardi for her continued efforts in organizing this wonderful event. Her countless hours and continued success are much appreciated.
