Sophie Tafreshi

In her own words:

Hello my name is Parissa Sophia Tafreshi and I am the twenty-fifth Miss Santa Clarita Valley. I attend a small private school called Delphi Academy. I'm the captain of the girls basketball team and Vice President of Student Government. Through Student Government, I've had the opportunity to run a tutoring center for students in my school's community. This has all helped enormously with my duties as Miss SCV.

I originally decided to join the program for the opportunities to do volunteer work for my community. I later discovered that there were so many more benefits! I have met some of the most talented, dedicated, and fun girls I know through this program. Also, I've had the opportunity to meet some of the community's prominent dignitaries, and mingle with local business owners.

Along with all the above benefits, I have gained more confidence as an individual and am much more comfortable meeting new people. I learned proper etiquette and interview skills, through the teachings of Ms. Mardi, the pageant director. I have received several job offers in the field of my chosen career as a result to my new found abilities.

I have had so much fun holding this title!
